The protection of confidential business information and trade secrets is vital to the interests and the success of Gads Hill Center. Any information concerning the business affairs of Gads Hill Center, its suppliers, or customers is confidential and restricted. Employees may not reveal any information except under the direction of their supervisor or with the supervisor’s approval. Such confidential information includes, but is not limited to, the following examples:

• Trade secrets or technical information
• Computer processes
• Customer/Client lists
• Customer preferences
• Marketing strategies
• Financial records
• Contractual records
• Donor records
• Volunteer records

Questions concerning this policy, including what constitutes confidential information, should be referred to the employee’s supervisor. Employees who improperly use or disclose trade secrets or confidential business information will be in violation of company policy and may be subject to legal action, even if they do not actually benefit from the disclosed information. Violation of this provision may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination.

NOTHING CONTAINED IN THIS POLICY IS INTENDED TO RESTRICT AN EMPLOYEE’S RIGHTS AND REMEDIES UNDER AND PURSUANT TO THE NATIONAL LABOR RELATIONS ACT.
