On Nov. 20, Rep. Edward Acevedo presented Gads Hill Center's CEO Maricela García with the Community Service Award for Tireless Service to the Latino Community at the 13th Annual Illinois Legislative Latino Caucus Foundation (ILLCF) Conference.

The award was presented during the conference's scholarship awards luncheon on behalf of the co-chairs of the ILLCF, who recognized Ms. García for her dedication to improving the lives of those within the Latino community.
