Chicago, IL On Friday, October 15th nationally acclaimed Chicago-based artist John Himmelfarb welcomed a group of Gads Hill Center supporters to a private showing at his studio in the Heart of Chicago. Gads Hill Board Members Rahsaan Thompson, an attorney at Quarles & Brady LLP, and Judy Pomeranz, art critic and advisor, served as hosts for the event, along with Marjorie Watkins and Frank B. Hubachek, Jr. who served as honorary hosts. More than 30 guests enjoyed viewing a vast selection of artwork and learning about the artist’s creations, while also learning more about the vital services that Gads Hill Center provides at its site in the neighboring community of Pilsen.
Gads Hill Center’s Chief Executive Officer Barbara Castellán noted, “We were honored to have the opportunity to visit John Himmelfarb’s studio and to see so much of his work. John’s art evokes the same sense of wonder and creativity that we at Gads Hill Center strive to instill in our kids as we educate them for their future.”
